Did you know that when David coaches, he cocks his head to the side? We have noticed this trend for several years now. Rip also mentioned it at last weekend's Starting Strength Coaches Association Convention. What does it mean?

Not sure about crossed arms (I suspect it means worry/nervousness/uncertainty), but hands on hips means you are gassed. Watch football for any amount of time, and the hands-on-hips guys are the tired ones.

Here's an interesting journal article on the effect of crossing one's arms as it relates to persistence:

Enjoy!

After today's NFT WOD, I realized just how hard FGB is going to be. 14# ball to a 10' target - pretty tiring.

Yeah, KH, it all seems a bit much. I hope there's some more FGB practice this week. There were definitely some thoughts that this FGB may not be a PR... Had some fun today though.

Crossed arms around tummy = I am scared of the WOD ahead

Crossed arms at chest level = I am going to kill Dan Reshef's Annie Time!

Crossed arms at chest level but not touching one's chest = I'm a Genie!

no pockets = crossed arms

In case anyone was torn between open gym and watching the Giants game, I am 90% sure I will be able to get the game on the big screen at the gym.

I expect to see you all there, in BLUE.

I am TOTES coming to open gym...so I can do an hour of DIY active recovery. I ran 20 miles today and I need it.

If you're reading this and you don't know what you're going to do with yourself this evening, YOU SHOULD COME TO PUB QUIZ. 8 PM, Pacific Standard, 82 4th Ave at St. Mark's. Be there!

WOD at CF Garden City this Sunday morning.

400m run, 40 DB snatch, alternating arms, 800m run, 40 DB snatch, alternating arms, 400m
15:47 @ 55lbs. Brutal.

Then in for a very informative clinic with Nick, followed by a rowing piece to try out what I'd learned. Felt a little scattered on the erg, but figure I'll get better with time.
